HubSpot alternatives, compared for small teams

HubSpot alternatives for small teams, with one set up for you

The best HubSpot alternative depends on what you use HubSpot for and how many people need a seat. This page matches the main alternatives to the team each one suits, with prices checked on 16 October 2026. One of them is ours: OmniFlow puts your CRM, email, texting, booking and follow-up in one platform, built on GoHighLevel, and sets it up for you for $99 a month plus usage.

The short answer first

What are the best HubSpot alternatives?

The best HubSpot alternatives in 2026 are Zoho CRM and EngageBay for a lower-cost all-in-one suite, Pipedrive for a sales pipeline, Salesforce for enterprise depth, ActiveCampaign, Brevo or Mailchimp for email marketing, and GoHighLevel or OmniFlow for service businesses that follow up by text, email and booking. Pick by your main job and your team size, not by the length of the feature list.

Every product above can work well. The wrong choice is usually the right tool for a different team, which is why the HubSpot alternatives worth shortlisting change so much between a two-person firm and a sixty-person sales floor.

Why teams move

Why do small teams look for a HubSpot alternative?

Small teams leave HubSpot for cost structure far more often than for software quality. The price climbs with seats, marketing contacts and tier upgrades, and the professional tiers add a required onboarding fee, so a growing team pays more each time it hires or its list grows.

What HubSpot does well

HubSpot is a strong platform, and saying otherwise would make this page less useful. The CRM record sits at the centre, every hub reads from it, and that is why its reporting, attribution and shared customer view are so good. It also has a real free tier: HubSpot's free tools cost $0 for up to two users with no card required (HubSpot, 2026a). If you use the depth, the price can be fair.

The seats and contacts set the bill

Marketing Hub Professional starts at $800 a month paid annually or $890 a month paid monthly, includes three core seats and 2,000 marketing contacts, and extra core seats start at $45 a month each (HubSpot, 2026a). Sales Hub Professional is priced per seat, at $90 to $100 a seat a month depending on billing (HubSpot, 2026b). Hire two more people or double your list, and the invoice moves with it.

The tier jump carries a one-time fee

When the feature you need sits on Professional, you move the account up a tier and pay a required onboarding fee once: $3,000 on Marketing Hub Professional and $1,500 on Sales Hub Professional, rising to $7,000 and $3,500 on the Enterprise tiers (HubSpot, 2026a; HubSpot, 2026b). That fee buys guided onboarding. Your team still designs the pipeline, writes the emails and maps the data.

Texting needs a professional tier

Marketing texts in HubSpot need a Marketing SMS add-on, and that add-on is available on Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise (HubSpot Knowledge Base, 2026). For a service business that follows up by text, that rule alone can decide the tier.

The alternatives

Which HubSpot alternative fits which team?

Zoho CRM and EngageBay fit budget suites, Pipedrive fits sales teams, Salesforce fits enterprises, email tools fit email-led marketing, and GoHighLevel or OmniFlow fit service businesses. Each alternative below wins for one kind of team. We list what each is best at and the trade-off you accept, and we quote a price only where we read it on the vendor's own pricing page on 16 October 2026.

Zoho CRM: the lower-cost suite for a growing team

Zoho CRM is the usual pick for a team that wants HubSpot-style breadth at a lower per-user price. Its pricing page lists a free plan for three users and paid plans from US$14 a user a month on Standard and US$23 on Professional (Zoho, 2026). Zoho also sells a wider family of business apps, so it can grow with you. The trade-off is setup: it is a deep, configurable product, and you or a consultant configure it.

EngageBay: the budget all-in-one

EngageBay bundles marketing, CRM and service tools in one suite aimed at small businesses. Its pricing page lists a free plan with 250 contacts and the All-in-One Basic plan at $12.74 a user a month on monthly billing, with 500 contacts, and it advertises a free migration service (EngageBay, 2026). The price is low. You still build the pipelines, sequences and forms yourself.

Pipedrive: the sales pipeline

Pipedrive suits a team whose day is deals, calls and next steps. It is built around a visual pipeline and sales activity, not a marketing suite. If marketing email matters as much as the pipeline, you will add another tool beside it. Nutshell is another sales CRM often named for smaller teams leaving HubSpot. We do not quote either price here; check their current plans directly.

Salesforce: enterprise depth

Salesforce is the first enterprise-grade alternative Google's AI Overview named for this search on 16 October 2026, and it is HubSpot's main rival at the enterprise end. It fits companies with dedicated admins, complex processes and formal governance, and it rewards the time those teams put in. For a ten-person service business, that same depth is usually more system than the work needs. Pricing varies by product and edition; check Salesforce's own pages.

ActiveCampaign, Brevo and Mailchimp: email first

If most of what you use HubSpot for is email marketing, an email tool is the cheaper and simpler move. ActiveCampaign goes deepest on email automation, Brevo adds texting and WhatsApp campaigns beside email, and Mailchimp is the gentlest start for a newcomer. Each has lighter CRM features, and booking or texting often sits elsewhere. Our ActiveCampaign alternative page covers what happens when the email tool becomes one of five subscriptions.

GoHighLevel: everything in one account, built by you

GoHighLevel puts the CRM, texting, calendars, funnels, a shared inbox and automation into one account. Its pricing page lists Starter at $97 a month, Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497, with usage such as texts and calls billed on top (HighLevel, 2026). It suits agencies and service businesses. The catch is the build: a new account starts close to empty, and someone has to design and test every workflow.

OmniFlow: the same platform, set up for you

OmniFlow is GoHighLevel already built around your business. We configure the pipeline, booking, forms, email and text follow-up before you log in, and routine changes after launch are included in $99 a month or $999 a year. Usage is billed separately. It is the right fit for a small team that wants the all-in-one system and does not want to become its administrator.

Price, plainly

How much does HubSpot cost a six-person team in year one?

A six-person team on HubSpot Marketing Hub Professional, where all six need a core seat, pays about $14,220 in its first year at the published rates: $9,600 for the plan, $1,620 for three extra seats and the $3,000 onboarding fee (HubSpot, 2026a). OmniFlow's yearly plan is $999 with setup included, before usage.

Cost lineHubSpot Marketing Hub ProfessionalOmniFlow
Plan, 12 months$9,600 ($800 a month, paid annually)$999 (yearly plan)
Seats 4, 5 and 6$1,620 (3 x $45 x 12 months)$0, unlimited users
Required onboarding$3,000 one time$0, setup included
Marketing contacts2,000 included; more cost extraUnlimited
TextingMarketing SMS add-on, priced at purchaseIncluded in the platform, billed by usage
Year one, before usage and add-onsAbout $14,220$999

HubSpot figures are from its Marketing Hub pricing page, checked 16 October 2026 (HubSpot, 2026a). Extra seats are listed as "start at $45", so the seat line is the lowest case.

Three notes keep the comparison fair. First, a team that only needs Starter pays far less: HubSpot's Starter tier listed $7 or $20 a seat a month on 16 October 2026, depending on billing and a limited-time offer for new customers (HubSpot, 2026a), and Starter may be all you need. Second, the HubSpot total leaves out extra contacts and the SMS add-on, so it is the floor, not the ceiling. Third, OmniFlow's $999 is also not the whole bill: phone calls, text messages, email delivery and AI usage are billed by consumption, and AI voice agents, AI chat agents and complex automations are quoted after a scoping call. Ask us for a usage estimate at your real volumes before you compare totals.

Done for you

Is OmniFlow a good HubSpot alternative if you want it set up for you?

Yes, if your team sells a service, follows up by call, text and email, and would rather have the system set up for you than build it. OmniFlow is built on GoHighLevel, and we say so up front. If you need HubSpot's reporting depth or its integration marketplace, stay with HubSpot.

The difference is what you receive on the first day. Most software sends a login and a help centre. With OmniFlow, the configuration is the product, and it is part of the $99, not an onboarding fee on top.

HubSpot details are from its pricing pages and knowledge base, checked 16 October 2026 (HubSpot, 2026a; HubSpot, 2026b; HubSpot Knowledge Base, 2026). HubSpot sets and changes its own plans.

Two rows favour HubSpot, and you should weigh them. Its reporting and its marketplace are deeper than anything a configured all-in-one setup gives a small team. And HubSpot leaves you in full control of your own account, while we build and manage yours; your contacts, messages and automations remain yours under our terms. If you want GoHighLevel itself with full admin control and plan to build it, read our GoHighLevel alternative page first.

Fit before features

Who should switch from HubSpot, and who should stay?

Switch when your cost is driven by seats, contact tiers and tier upgrades rather than by the depth you use. Stay when HubSpot's reporting, integrations or governance carry real weight in how you run the business.

A good fit for OmniFlow

Service businesses, consultants, coaches, clinics, real estate teams and local trades, where a slow reply is a lost job and the team keeps growing. Agencies running their own pipeline next to client work fit too, and our CRM for agencies page covers that version. The common thread is reply speed, and our guide to speed to lead explains why the first reply matters so much.

Stay with HubSpot if

You rely on multi-touch attribution or custom reporting; your stack depends on integrations that only HubSpot offers natively; you need enterprise permissions, sandboxes and single sign-on; or the free tools or Starter already cover everything you do. In those cases the cheaper move is often a conversation with HubSpot about your plan, not a migration.

Pick another alternative if

Email is your only channel (choose an email tool), your team lives in a sales pipeline and nothing else (Pipedrive), or you want to configure a low-cost suite yourself (Zoho CRM or EngageBay). An all-in-one platform you will not use in full is the wrong purchase.

Switching

What does switching from HubSpot to OmniFlow involve?

Switching is mostly a data job. We import your contacts, companies, custom fields, tags and deal stages from a HubSpot export, then build your pipeline, booking and follow-up around how you work.

Book a 15-minute walkthrough

We look at how leads reach you today, what you use in HubSpot and which tools sit around it.

We map and import your data

Contacts, companies, custom fields, tags and deal stages come across, and we check the counts against your export.

We build and test the workspace

Pipeline, booking, forms, email and text follow-up, tested with real enquiries before customers see them.

You move over, and we stay on it

Once leads flow end to end, you point your website forms at OmniFlow and close HubSpot when you are ready.

Some parts do not move cleanly. Past email threads, chat transcripts and call logs do not transfer through a standard import, and HubSpot landing pages and workflows are rebuilt in OmniFlow rather than copied. Anything that points at HubSpot from outside, such as embedded forms, tracking code and connector apps, gets listed during setup so nothing breaks the week after you move. Keep HubSpot open for the first few weeks, and export any history you must retain before you cancel.

Questions

HubSpot alternatives: questions

Is OmniFlow built on GoHighLevel?

Yes. OmniFlow is a product of Integral Technologists built on the GoHighLevel platform, so the CRM, email, texting, calendars, forms and automations run on GoHighLevel's technology. What you receive is different: GoHighLevel sells the platform for you to build, while OmniFlow gives you the same platform already set up around your business, with routine changes included, for $99 a month. We say it plainly because the setup is what you pay us for.

Who is HubSpot's biggest competitor?

Salesforce is HubSpot's biggest competitor at the enterprise end, and the one most roundups and Google's AI Overview name first for large companies. Both sell CRM-centred platforms to sales and marketing teams. For small businesses the competitive set is different: Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, EngageBay, ActiveCampaign and all-in-one platforms such as GoHighLevel. Which competitor matters depends on your team size and main job, so compare the tools built for a team like yours, not the biggest names.

Why is HubSpot so expensive?

HubSpot's cost grows on three axes at once: seats, marketing contacts and tiers. Marketing Hub Professional starts at $800 a month paid annually with three seats and 2,000 marketing contacts, extra seats start at $45 a month, and the tier carries a required $3,000 onboarding fee (HubSpot, 2026a). For a marketing team that uses the depth, that is defensible. For a small service business using a fraction of it, the bill outruns the value.

Is there a free HubSpot alternative?

Yes. Zoho CRM lists a free plan for three users and EngageBay a free plan with 250 contacts, and HubSpot's own free tools cost $0 for up to two users (Zoho, 2026; EngageBay, 2026; HubSpot, 2026a). Free plans work while your volumes are small and you have time to configure everything yourself. OmniFlow has no free tier: it costs $99 a month with the setup included, and you see how it would work for your business on a walkthrough before you pay anything.

Is HubSpot a CRM?

Yes. HubSpot is a customer platform built around a CRM, with paid hubs for marketing, sales, service, content and data on top. The CRM record is the centre and every hub reads from it. That design is why HubSpot is strong on reporting, and also why its price grows with each hub, seat and contact you add. The free tools include the basic CRM.

What is the best HubSpot alternative for a small business?

The best HubSpot alternative for a small business is the one that matches its main job. For a sales pipeline alone, Pipedrive is a clean fit. For email marketing, an email tool such as ActiveCampaign or Brevo. For a low-cost suite you configure yourself, Zoho CRM or EngageBay. For CRM, email, texting, booking and follow-up in one system that is set up for you, OmniFlow.

Can I move my HubSpot data into OmniFlow?

Yes, for most of it. Contacts, companies, custom fields, tags and deal stages come across through an import we run with you, and we check the record counts against your HubSpot export. Past email threads, chats and call logs do not transfer through a standard import, and landing pages and workflows are rebuilt rather than copied. Keep HubSpot open until real leads flow end to end in OmniFlow, then close it.

Keep the follow-up, lose the per-seat bill

If HubSpot's seats, tiers and onboarding fees cost more than the depth is worth to your team, one configured platform at a flat price may fit better. Book a 15-minute walkthrough and see the workspace we would set up for your business, for $99 a month plus usage. If HubSpot is still the right answer for you, we will say so.
